Palken – Stories of the Heart is Goa-based Rupa Rao’s first music album, which was conceptualized and came to fruition in Goa (India). Her album consists entirely of original music. All the songs take their inspiration from the stories of her life or those she’s heard from other people. The music is influenced by retro Indian melodies and pop along with a hint of ghazal, which is quite unique. The CD, cover and logo have been designed using colours of love. Shades of deep red, pink and olive green symbolize love, feelings, passion, joy, sorrow, hurt, hope, gratitude and euphoria.
